Though he'd proved himself in weapons training as a former Stormtrooper, fugitive turned hero Finn may have been a little out of his depth in utilizing the lightsaber of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker against the fierce powers of Kylo Ren. Nonetheless, he shows early promise and gusto during the first stage of this fierce encounter. A great image of John Boyega as Finn from THE FORCE AWAKENS, whose character scene shown in a later trailer specifically deflected our attentions away from the fact that it would be Daisy Ridley's Rey who'd ultimately wield the weapon as a Jedi-to-be. Though that's not to say Finn doesn't have a special destiny somewhere else later in the sequel series...
Will Finn and Ren meet again for another intense conflict? We can but wait and see for 2017.
