In the garage of the Lars Homestead, Artoo displays a desperate hologram message, from Obi-Wan Kenobi on Geonosis, to a concerned Padme, Anakin and Threepio. Look and sound familiar? Another deliberate nod to the original STAR WARS but a moment eventually deleted and re-filmed by Lucas-the scene instead moved to Padme's starship, presumably so as to speed up the action in the films final quarter.
Annoyingly, this interesting scene was not included on the recent Blu-ray, though behind the scenes footage of other filming on the garage set (also showing Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars) was included in a 2001/2002 VHS tape re-release of the Classic Trilogy.
